What You Should Stop, Start & Continue With Diversity & Inclusion Recruitment
Date: January 22, 2019 | Time: 2pm EST | Duration: 1 HOUR
What’s the deal with BS diversity programs?
Diversity and Inclusion are serious terms. They have real meaning, and in business they have real impact with deep ties to the bottom line. When executed with the right purpose, they create meaning.
But, diversity and inclusion do not mean the same thing. They are stand alone efforts that need each other to thrive.
Diversity is about mixing cultures and backgrounds and leveraging those cultures to share views from a variety of those backgrounds. Inclusion is different.
Inclusion is how the organization respects its employees, creating an environment that places equal value on ideas rather than job titles.
2017 was one of the first years where diversity and inclusion topics absolutely stormed to the forefront because of #MeToo… and more. 2018 was where we saw D&I get more coverage and discussion, and the tech side of HR/recruiting start to catch up.
There’s been a long back-and-forth about whether tech is good for D&I or bad for it. This is why we brought in industry veteran and leader Balazs Paroczay, VP Global Sourcing at Cielo Talent to help navigate such a touchy but important topic.
While that question isn’t quite resolved yet, here’s what we can do now.
We can look at a wide range of D&I programs and determine:
- What companies need to start doing
- What they absolutely need to stop doing
- What they should continue doing and what they should tweak
Hope to see you for this webinar on 1/22.
Let’s make sure 2019 is the year you start to tie everything D&I together and really move your efforts forward.
